The Basics of Mime
Students explore the techniques of classic illusionary mime - the creation of illusions, the isolation and control of all parts of the body, balance, hand/eye coordination, the power of silence, poise, non-verbal communication skills and the ability to create stories.
Technical Needs
A large clean, clear area with room for all students to move.
Mask-Making
Students learn to create masks using papier mache techniques developed by Sandra Hughes and/or paper construction techniques developed by Michael Hickey.
Students develop new skills and create unique art works.
Technical Needs
A work area with utility tables and chairs suitable for art work.
Electric outlets.
Story To Stage
Students develop a theatrical production from idea to script, to rehearsal, to building props, puppets and costumes to performance.
Ideas for production may be generated from student experiences or from curriculum.

All over the world honey bees are disappearing.
Students develop a theatrical production while exploring the life of the honey bee and the current world-wide crisis.
